Russian air defenses intercept 84 Ukrainian drones over Kursk Region in past 24 hours

Governor Alexander Khinshtein clarified that as a result of the Ukrainian strikes at the Salnoye village in the Khomutovsky district, the local power line was damaged, leaving 23 homes without electricity

KURSK, April 3. /TASS/. The Ukrainian armed forces have fired artillery at evacuated areas of Russia’s bordering Kursk Region 34 times, and Russian air defenses have downed 84 enemy drones over the region in the past 24 hours. There were no casualties, Governor Alexander Khinshtein reported.

"Between 9:00 a.m. Moscow time (6:00 a.m. GMT) on April 2 and 7:00 a.m. Moscow time (4:00 a.m. GMT) on April 3, a total of 84 enemy drones of various types were intercepted. The enemy fired munitions on evacuated areas 34 times. Drones attacked our territory 11 times by dropping explosives. <...> There were no casualties," the governor wrote on his Max social media channel.

Khinshtein clarified that as a result of the Ukrainian strikes at the Salnoye village in the Khomutovsky district, the local power line was damaged, leaving 23 homes without electricity. "In the village of Giryi in the Belovsky district, a disinfection gate and a gas distributing cabinet on the premises of Pselskoye farming enterprise were damaged. In the village of Malogneushevo in the Rylsky district, the enemy struck a site near the educational and industrial base of the Rylsk Aviation Technical College," the governor reported.
