Russia boosting foreign trade, cementing ties with reliable partners — foreign intel chief
Sergey Naryshkin stressed that in the current period of turbulence, the contours of a new multipolar world order were becoming increasingly clear, which opened up additional opportunities for Russia
MOSCOW, April 3. /TASS/. Russia continues to expand the geography of its foreign trade activities and strengthen cooperation with reliable partners amid illegitimate sanctions, Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) Director and President of the Russian Historical Society Sergey Naryshkin said.
"Despite the objective difficulties, including illegal sanctions that Russian exporters are facing today, our country continues to expand the geography of its foreign trade activities and strengthen cooperation with reliable partners," he said during a round table discussion dedicated to the history of domestic exports.
All this proves that Moscow has chosen a correct path, when in the current period of turbulence, the contours of a new multipolar world order are becoming increasingly clear, which "opens up additional opportunities for Russia," Naryshkin noted.
During the Soviet years, Russia "became a major exporter of education," he added. "The export of knowledge can be acknowledged, in a sense, as the major league of foreign economic activity. Today, more than 400,000 foreign citizens are studying in Russia," the official said.
