The Day of Unity of the Peoples of Russia and Belarus represents enduring friendship, deep-rooted cultural and spiritual ties, and the shared destiny of Russians and Belarusians, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in a congratulatory message to his Belarusian counterpart Maxim Ryzhenkov.
"Please accept my sincere congratulations on the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Russia and Belarus and the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on the Establishment of the Community of Russia and Belarus, which laid the foundation for this holiday and initiated integration processes between our countries at a new stage of history. This day symbolizes unbreakable friendship, deep-rooted cultural and spiritual commonality, and the inseparable destinies of Russians and Belarusians," Lavrov stated.
