MOSCOW, April 1. /TASS/. Russian troops completed the liberation of the Lugansk People’s Republic in the special military operation in Ukraine, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported.

"Battlegroup West units have completed the liberation of the Lugansk People’s Republic," the ministry said in a statement.

Russian troops liberated two communities in the Kharkov and Zaporozhye Regions over the past 24 hours, the ministry reported.

"Battlegroup North units took control of the settlement of Verkhnyaya Pisarevka in the Kharkov Region through active operations. <…> Battlegroup East units liberated the settlement of Boikovo in the Zaporozhye Region through decisive operations," the ministry said.

The Ukrainian army lost roughly 1,315 troops in battles with Russian forces in all the frontline areas over the past 24 hours, according to the latest data on the special military operation in Ukraine released by Russia’s Defense Ministry.

The latest figures show that the Ukrainian army lost roughly 255 troops and three artillery guns in the responsibility area of Russia’s Battlegroup North, over 170 troops, an infantry fighting vehicle, an armored personnel carrier and two armored combat vehicles in the responsibility area of the Battlegroup West and about 175 troops, a tank and three armored combat vehicles in the responsibility area of the Battlegroup South.

During the last 24-hour period, the Ukrainian army also lost roughly 370 troops, a US-made Abrams tank and 11 armored combat vehicles in the responsibility area of Russia’s Battlegroup Center, about 275 troops and an armored personnel carrier in the responsibility area of the Battlegroup East and around 70 troops and two armored combat vehicles in the responsibility area of the Battlegroup Dnepr, the latest figures show.

Russia’s Battlegroup North inflicted roughly 255 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed three enemy artillery guns in its areas of responsibility over the past day, the ministry reported.

During the last 24-hour period, Battlegroup North units "inflicted losses on formations of three mechanized brigades of the Ukrainian army, a territorial defense brigade and two National Guard brigades in areas near the settlements of Vesyoloye, Volchanskiye Khutora, Izbitskoye, Nesternoye and Pokalyanoye in the Kharkov Region," the ministry said.

In the Sumy direction, Battlegroup North units inflicted losses on manpower and equipment of two territorial defense brigades in areas near the settlements of Volnaya Sloboda and Pokrovka in the Sumy Region, the ministry reported.

The Ukrainian army lost an estimated 255 personnel, 10 motor vehicles and three artillery guns in those frontline areas over the past 24 hours, it specified.

In addition, Russian forces destroyed an electronic warfare station, four ammunition depots, a fuel depot and five materiel depots of the Ukrainian army, it said.

Russia’s Battlegroup West inflicted more than 170 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed an enemy infantry fighting vehicle, an armored personnel carrier and two armored combat vehicles in its area of responsibility over the past day, the ministry reported.

During the last 24-hour period, Battlegroup West units "inflicted losses on manpower and equipment of five mechanized brigades, a guard brigade of Ukraine’s General Staff and two territorial defense brigades in areas near the settlements of Grushevka, Gusinka, Mayak, Monachinovka, Nechvolodovka, Palamarevka and Prosyanka in the Kharkov Region, Krasny Liman and Yatskovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the ministry said.

The Ukrainian army lost more than 170 personnel, an infantry fighting vehicle, an armored personnel carrier, two Kozak armored combat vehicles, 16 motor vehicles and six field artillery guns in that frontline area over the past 24 hours, it specified.

In addition, Russian forces destroyed an ammunition depot of the Ukrainian army, it said.

Russia’s Battlegroup South inflicted roughly 175 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed an enemy tank and three armored combat vehicles in its area of responsibility over the past day, the ministry reported.

"Battlegroup South units gained better lines and positions and inflicted losses on formations of two mechanized brigades, a mountain assault brigade and an airmobile brigade of the Ukrainian army in areas near the settlements of Konstantinovka, Krivaya Luka, Piskunovka, Reznikovka and Slavyansk in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the ministry said.

The Ukrainian army lost an estimated 175 personnel, a tank, three armored combat vehicles, 15 motor vehicles and an artillery gun in that frontline area over the past 24 hours, it specified.

In addition, Russian forces destroyed four ammunition depots and three materiel depots of the Ukrainian army, it said.

Russia’s Battlegroup Center inflicted more than 370 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed a US-made Abrams and 11 armored combat vehicles in its area of responsibility over the past day, the ministry reported.

"Battlegroup Center units improved their forward positions and inflicted losses on manpower and equipment of five mechanized brigades, an infantry brigade, an air assault brigade, an assault regiment of the Ukrainian army, a marine infantry brigade, the Azov special operations brigade [outlawed as a terrorist group in Russia], three National Guard brigades and a territorial defense brigade in areas near the settlements of Grishino, Lenina, Novoaleksandrovka, Novogrigorovka, Petrovka, Sergeyevka, Staroraiskoye and Toretskoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Gavrilovka and Raipole in the Dnepropetrovsk Region," the ministry said.

Russia’s Battlegroup East inflicted roughly 275 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed an enemy armored personnel carrier in its area of responsibility over the past day, the ministry reported.

During the last 24-hour period, Battlegroup East units "inflicted losses on formations of a mechanized brigade, two assault brigades, two air assault brigades and three assault regiments of the Ukrainian army in areas near the settlements of Dobropasovo and Chernenkovo in the Dnepropetrovsk Region, Vozdvizhevka, Komsomolskoye, Kopani and Krinovka in the Zaporozhye Region," the ministry said.

The Ukrainian army lost an estimated 275 personnel, an armored personnel carrier, 11 motor vehicles and an electronic warfare station in that frontline area over the past 24 hours, it specified.

In addition, Russian forces destroyed a materiel depot of the Ukrainian army, it said.

Russia’s Battlegroup Dnepr eliminates 70 Ukrainian troops in past day

Russia’s Battlegroup Dnepr eliminated roughly 70 Ukrainian troops and destroyed two enemy armored combat vehicles in its area of responsibility over the past day, the ministry reported.

"Battlegroup Dnepr units improved their tactical position and inflicted losses on manpower and equipment of a mountain assault brigade of the Ukrainian army and a territorial defense brigade in areas near the settlements of Grigorovka and Orekhov in the Zaporozhye Region," the ministry said.

"Up to 70 [Ukrainian] military personnel, two armored combat vehicles, 11 motor vehicles and a US-made 155mm M777 howitzer were destroyed," the ministry said.

Russian troops strike Ukrainian army’s energy, fuel infrastructure in past day

Russian troops struck energy and fuel infrastructure used by the Ukrainian army and enemy deployment sites over the past 24 hours, the ministry reported.

"Operational/tactical aircraft, attack unmanned aerial vehicles, missile troops and artillery of the Russian groups of forces struck military airfields, enterprises of Ukraine’s military-industrial sector, energy and fuel infrastructure used to support the Ukrainian army’s operations, sites for the launch and storage of long-range unmanned aerial vehicles, and also temporary deployment areas of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries in 149 locations," the ministry said.

Russian air defenses intercept 261 Ukrainian UAVs, 10 smart bombs over past day

Russian air defense forces intercepted and destroyed 261 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and 10 smart bombs over the past 24 hours, the ministry reported.

"Air defense capabilities shot down 10 guided aerial bombs, a rocket of the US-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket system and 261 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles," the ministry said.

Overall, the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed 671 Ukrainian combat aircraft, 284 helicopters, 129,921 unmanned aerial vehicles, 652 surface-to-air missile systems, 28,630 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,694 multiple rocket launchers, 34,212 field artillery guns and mortars and 58,337 special military motor vehicles since the start of the special military operation, the ministry reported.
