MOSCOW, February 26. /TASS/. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin explained Russia’s approaches to a political and diplomatic settlement of the conflict in Ukraine during a meeting with Hungarian Ambassador to Moscow Norbert Konkoly, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

"An in-depth exchange of views took place on the situation surrounding the Ukrainian crisis. The head of the diplomatic mission was briefed on the Russian side’s principled approaches to seeking a political and diplomatic settlement of the conflict, with an emphasis on the need to eliminate its root causes," the ministry said.

The parties also confirmed their intention to continue developing constructive bilateral dialogue between Russia and Hungary. The meeting was held at the request of the Hungarian diplomat.
