MOSCOW, February 18. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is confident that other countries in the region do not want new tensions around Iran.

"I am closely monitoring the reactions to events in the region - particularly those of the Arab countries and the Gulf monarchies. No one wants further escalation," the top diplomat said in interview with the Al Arabiya TV channel.

"Everyone understands that this is playing with fire," he emphasized.
