MOSCOW, February 3. /TASS/. Russia's range of interests in Myanmar is quite broad, including economic cooperation in trade and energy, Russian Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoigu said in an interview with TASS.

"Russia has a wide range of interests in Myanmar, including the development of trade and economic cooperation, taking into account the complementarity of our markets, the construction of infrastructure facilities, support for Myanmar's energy sector, and oil and gas cooperation," Shoigu said following his working visit to Myanmar.

The parties paid special attention to security issues, he added.

"This includes information technology, combating cybercrime, and contacts between law enforcement and intelligence agencies. Further prospects for military and military-technical cooperation were also discussed," the security official noted.
