MOSCOW, November 18. /TASS/. Russia will not participate in talks with Ukraine scheduled to take place in Turkey on November 19, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

"No, Russian representatives will not be in Turkey tomorrow. So far, these contacts have taken place without Russia’s participation. We will await information on the content of the Istanbul talks," he said.

Earlier, Vladimir Zelensky said he would visit Turkey on November 19 "to advance negotiations" on the Ukrainian settlement. According to him, the Ukrainian delegations would present their ideas to their partners and discuss resuming prisoner swaps. Zelensky did not specify whom he intended to meet with in Turkey or what the ideas were.

In turn, Reuters reported, citing a Turkish source, that US special presidential envoy Steve Witkoff is planning to visit Turkey on November 19 to hold talks with Zelensky.
