MOSCOW, August 19. /TASS/. Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 23 Ukrainian drones during the night over the Volgograd and Rostov Regions, as well as Crimea, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

The roof of one hospital building in Volgograd caught fire due to falling drone debris, Regional Governor Andrey Bocharov said.

Aftermath

- A mass attack by Ukrainian drones was thwarted in the Volgograd Region.

- Falling debris from a drone caused a fire on the roof of a building at Hospital №16, Bocharov noted.

- Preliminary data indicates no casualties.

- Patients continue to receive scheduled medical care in other departments.

- Firefighters are currently on site to contain and extinguish the fire.

- Over the past night, air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 23 Ukrainian unmanned aircraft.

Casualty report for the week

- Over the past week, more than 140 residents of Russian regions were injured in attacks by the Ukrainian military, Rodion Miroshnik, the Russian Foreign Ministry’s ambassador-at-large in charge of overseeing the Kiev regime’s crimes, told TASS.

- Among them are 14 minors, with the youngest child injured being only four years old.

- Miroshnik also reported 15 people killed as a result of Ukrainian strikes, including a child.
