MOSCOW, August 19. /TASS/. More than 140 Russian residents, including 14 minors, were injured in Ukrainian attacks over the past week, and 15 people were killed, Rodion Miroshnik, the Russian Foreign Ministry’s ambassador at large for issues of the Kiev regime’s crimes, told TASS.
"In the past week, Nazi attacks affected 156 civilians, of them 141 people, including 14 minors, were injured and 15 people, including a child, were killed," Miroshnik said. The youngest victim was just four years old, he added.
The enemy mostly used drones for attacks inside Russia, targeting civilian vehicles, as well as first responders and their vehicles, the diplomat noted. According to him, 89% of Russian civilians were killed or injured in attacks using combat drones.
Also, Ukrainian troops continued to expand the geography of strikes inside Russia, Miroshnik continued. Over the past week, night-time attacks using fixed-wing UAVs targeted the Republic of Tatarstan, the Stavropol and Krasnodar regions, as well as the Astrakhan, Voronezh, Volgograd, Kaluga, Smolensk, Samara, Rostov, Nizhny Novgorod, Oryol, Orenburg, and Ulyanovsk regions.
The bordering region of Belgorod saw a two-fold increase in the number of attacks on civilian infrastructure, targeting 716 sites, between August 13 and 16, Miroshnik stressed. "Apart from residential buildings, government offices too were attacked, and the regional administration building came under five attacks," he said.
