MOSCOW, April 2. /TASS/. The Russian state corporation Rosatom is ready to take part in construction of the Ninh Thuan 1 nuclear power plant in Vietnam, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at the press conference after talks with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Vietnam Bui Thanh Son.

"The leadership of Vietnam has recently made the decision to develop the national nuclear power sector and the state corporation Rosatom will be ready to be engaged in construction of the Ninh Thuan 1 nuclear power plant," Lavrov said.

The nuclear power industry development plan was suspended earlier in Vietnam. The energy association of Vietnam several times urged the government to return to consideration of the issue of using nuclear power in the country for domestic needs.
