Immigrants increase terrorist threat in Russia, prosecutor general says

According to Igor Krasnov, criminal charges have been brought against 179 foreigners and persons without citizenship for radical offenses

MOSCOW, April 2. /TASS/. Immigrants have largely contributed to the rise of the terrorist threat in Russia, Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov said as he delivered an annual report to the Federation Council, or the upper chamber of parliament.

"Immigrants continue to play a major role in the escalation of the terrorist threat," Russia’s chief prosecutor said.

According to him, criminal charges have been brought against 179 foreigners and persons without citizenship for radical offenses.
