MELITOPOL, March 26. /TASS/. Russian troops have taken control of the central part of Lobkovoye community in the Stepnogorsk direction in the Zaporozhye Region, Chairman of Russia’s Civic Chamber Commission on Sovereignty, Patriotic Projects and Veteran Support Vladimir Rogov told TASS on Wednesday.

"Our troops have moved deep into the settlement of Lobkovoye and taken control of its central part. The Ukrainian armed formations are deploying reinforcements to that area, trying to impede the Russian army’s advance," the politician said.

Rogov told TASS on March 24 that Russian troops had begun battles for the liberation of Lobkovoye and were controlling its southern part.
