LUGANSK, March 19. /TASS/. The Ukrainian armed forces have attempted to counterattack near the settlements of Nadiya and Novoyegorovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR), with Russian troops successfully repelling all attacks by the enemy, military expert Andrey Marochko told TASS.

"Over the past day, Ukrainian militants have repeatedly tried to conduct offensive operations approaching from the settlement of Novosergeyevka toward Nadiya and in the Cherneshchina-Karmazinovka area. There is ongoing pressure in the area of Novoyegorovka. Our troops repelled all enemy attacks," he said.

The expert clarified that the current actions by the enemy in this segment of the frontline resemble reconnaissance by fire, and the "probability of combined attacks aimed at breaching Russia’s defense line in this area is high.".
