Ukrainian army launches some 140 drones at Russia’s Belgorod Region in past day
According to Vyacheslav Gladkov, air defenses shot down a drone over the city of Belgorod; its debris injured a young man and damaged a car
BELGOROD, March 18. /TASS/. The Ukrainian armed forces launched about 140 drones and 48 projectiles at Russia’s borderline Belgorod Region in the past day, leaving three civilians injured, regional Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on Telegram.
"As many as 29 projectiles were fired in five shelling attacks on the settlements of Zadorozhny, Krasnaya Yaruga, Prilesye, Stepnoye, Vyazovoye, Grafovka, Demidovka, Ilek-Penkovka, Kolotilovka, Popovka, Starolesye, Terebreno and Fishchevo in the Krasnoyaruzhsky District; 49 drones were also launched, of which 12 were shot down. An FPV drone strike on a truck left a civilian injured near the settlement of Stepnoye," he specified, adding that two trucks, a car, a freight car and a powerline had suffered damage in the district.
According to the regional governor, air defenses shot down a drone over the city of Belgorod; its debris injured a young man and damaged a car. A projectile and 22 unmanned aerial vehicles were launched at the Belgorodsky District. A man was injured from the detonation of a landmine. A private house, a car and a production facility suffered damage.
Attacks on the Shebekinsky District, which involved five projectiles and 22 drones, damaged three private houses and a household building. Two projectiles and two drones were launched at the Volokonovsky District; a social facility was damaged.
Two projectiles and two unmanned aerial vehicles were launched at two settlements in the Valuisky District, damaging a social facility. Four drones attacked the Borisovsky District, causing no casualties or damage.
Air defenses downed 22 drones over the Ivnyansky, Korochansky, Krasnogvardeisky and the Gubkinsky districts. "The Rakityansky District was attacked by three drones, two of which were shot down by air defenses. There were no casualties or damage," Gladkov added.
