Ukrainian soldiers shot entire families before leaving Selidovo, says eyewitness
The evacuated resident told about many acts of lawlessness and plunder
DONETSK, March 17. /TASS/. Ukrainian military killed entire families and raped women before leaving the settlement of Selidovo in the Donetsk People's Republic in the fall of 2024, an evacuated resident said in a video obtained by TASS.
"The city was a chaotic place in late October, when it was still occupied by the Ukrainian military. Mass killings of civilians were ongoing. On Ostrovskogo Street, three people asked them [Ukrainian troops], 'When will you leave already?' and were executed for these words. On October 24, a family of five was gunned down at Kuchurinskaya Street, 30," the resident said in a video provided by military expert Andrey Marochko.
In addition, the man said, Ukrainian troops raped a woman living in a multi-story house on Gogol Street. She was later killed together with her husband.
"There were many acts of lawlessness and plunder. Even a friend of mine was shot from a firearm when he was driving a car," the resident added.
The town of Selidovo has been one of the key settlements for the deployment of Ukraine's units since 2014. The importance of the settlement for Ukraine further increased in 2022, as the supply of several Ukrainian groups in southern Donetsk and Zaporozhye regions was carried out via Selidovo. The Russian Defense Ministry reported the liberation of the town on October 29, 2024.
