Over 210 people rescued from liberated territories in Kursk Region’s Sudzha area
The acting governor also mentioned that 68 people were evacuated from the settlement of Sudzha, while 74 more from Kazachya Loknya settlement
KURSK, March 14. /TASS/. Up to 210 people have been rescued from the Kursk Region’s Sudzha district since March 12 as part of Russia’s ongoing special military operation in Ukraine, Alexander Khinshtein, the acting governor of the region, reported on Friday.
"A total of 209 of our nationals, including nine minors, have been evacuated so far from residential areas that had been liberated," Khinshtein shared on his Telegram channel.
The acting governor also mentioned that 68 people were evacuated from the settlement of Sudzha, while 74 more from Kazachya Loknya settlement, and more people from the local communities of Makhnovka, Martynovka, Nizhnemakhaovo, Goncharovko, Guyevo, and other settlements had been evacuated as well.
According to Khinshtein, 128 people have already been housed in temporary shelters in the region, while the rest have been taken in by their relatives.
"People are provided with everything they need: humanitarian kits, food, sleeping arrangements, medical, psychological, and legal assistance," Khinshtein said. "The work to protect our residents continues.".
