Any agreements on Ukraine to be implemented on Russian terms — Russian senator
Konstantin Kosachev said that Vladimir Zelensky is "on the back foot"
MOSCOW, March 12. /TASS/. Ukraine agrees with what the United States is telling them, "bowing and serving," but any agreements will be implemented on Moscow's terms, Russian Federation Council Vice Speaker Konstantin Kosachev said about the US-Ukrainian talks in Jeddah.
"The conditions are American, not Ukrainian. Ukrainians agree with what they are told. And at the same time, they bow and seek favor - take the formula ‘we will sign the resources agreement, when it is convenient for Washington,’ for one," he wrote in his Telegram channel.
"Russia is advancing, and this is why it will be different with Russia. Any agreements (with all understanding of the need for compromises) are on our terms, not American ones. And this is not our faith in easy victory, but understanding that real agreements are still being written there, at the front. This is something that Washington should also understand."
The vice speaker said that Vladimir Zelensky is "on the back foot."
Kosachev noted that "the most important thing now is not to interfere with the Russian-US negotiations with unrelated comments" and "let the negotiators work."
A joint statement, published after March 11 US-Ukrainian talks in Jeddah, said that the countries have agreed to sign a comprehensive agreement on the development of critically important mineral resources soon. The Kiev regime has confirmed its readiness to accept Washington's proposal for a 30-day ceasefire in the conflict with Russia. The United States pledged to resume providing intelligence and support to Ukraine immediately.
