Putin, Lukashenko talked over phone about Belarusian president’s visit to Russia — Kremlin
The most recent telephone conversation between the presidents that the Kremlin previously informed about was in late January, when Putin congratulated Lukashenko on the convincing victory at the Belarusian presidential election
MOSCOW, March 4. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko recently held a telephone conversation discussing the Belarusian leader’s trip to Moscow, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday.
"Preparations for the Belarusian president’s visit to Russia are underway," he said at a news briefing. "The presidents held a telephone conversation recently and they have agreed in particular that this visit will take place in the near future."
"We will announce later when exactly this visit will take place and will announce it jointly with our Belarusian partners," Peskov added.
The most recent telephone conversation between the presidents that the Kremlin previously informed about was in late January, when Putin congratulated Lukashenko on the convincing victory at the Belarusian presidential election.
Peskov, however, earlier stated that the Kremlin is not informing about each telephone conversation of Putin with Lukashenko since the presidents are in constant contact maintaining a rich and productive dialogue.
