Russia’s Battlegroup West inflicts over 190 casualties on Ukrainian army in past day
The battlegroup also destroyed 25 drone control posts
MOSCOW, February 22. /TASS/. Russia’s Battlegroup West inflicted over 190 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed 25 drone control posts over the past day in the special military operation in Ukraine, Battlegroup West Spokesman Ivan Bigma told TASS on Saturday.
"Air defense units destroyed Ukraine’s 17 fixed-wing UAVs," he said. "Enemy’s losses in that frontline area over the past 24 hours amounted to over 190 personnel, a T-64 tank, a US-made M113 armored personnel carrier and four motor vehicles."
"In counterbattery fire, artillery units and operators of loitering munitions destroyed three field artillery guns and ten mortar teams," he continued. "They have also destroyed a Zakhist-AF electronic warfare station of the Ukrainian army, 25 drone control stations, two Starlink satellite connection stations and two ammo depots."
Supported by artillery, heavy flamethrowers and aircraft, the Battlegroup West units kept advancing deep into the enemy’s defenses and improved its tactical positions delivering strikes on manpower and equipment of Ukrainian army’s four mechanized brigades, a territorial defense brigade and the National Guard brigade near the settlements of Tverdokhlebovka, Krinichek, Kupyansk, Lozovaya, Golubovka, Novolyubovka and Yampol.
