MOSCOW, February 6. /TASS/. The replacement of Roscosmos head Yury Borisov is related to rotation, not any complaints against him, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
"There are no complaints against Yury Borisov. Rotation is underway, and the corporation needs to evolve dynamically," the Kremlin spokesman said in response to a TASS question.
Dmitry Bakanov, 39, who previously served as Russia’s deputy transport minister, has been appointed as the new chief of Russia’s space agency. Prior to his career at the Transport Ministry, Bakanov was in charge of the Gonets satellite system in 2011-2019. He succeeded Yury Borisov, who had headed the state corporation since 2022.
