Deepening cooperation meets CIS countries’ key interests — Putin

MOSCOW, December 25. /TASS/. Deepening cooperation within the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) serves the interests of the member states, they will continue to work on solving various issues, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"In general, I am convinced that deepening cooperation in various areas within the CIS serves the core interests of the peoples of our countries. And I am sure that we will continue to work on solving the problems of social and economic development, strengthening stability and security," the Russian leader said at the informal summit of CIS leaders.
Putin also wished Tajik President Emomali Rahmon success in his country's assumption of the rotating CIS chairmanship in 2025. "I would like to wish success to Emomali Sharipovich [Rahmon] and all our Tajik friends. We are ready to provide you with all necessary assistance," the Russian head of state pointed out.
"I would also like to take this opportunity to extend my heartfelt congratulations on the upcoming New Year and wish the citizens of your countries good health, happiness, well-being and prosperity," Putin told his CIS counterparts.
