MOSCOW, December 25. /TASS/. Russian air defenses intercepted and destroyed 59 Ukrainian drones over various Russian regions in the early hours of Wednesday, the Defense Ministry said.

"Overnight, on-duty air defenses intercepted and destroyed 59 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles. A total of 26 drones were downed over the Belgorod Region, 23 over the Voronezh Region, three over the Kursk Region, three over the Bryansk Region, three over the Tambov Region and one over the Azov Sea waters," the ministry said.

According to the Tambov Region government, there were no casualties as a result of the destruction of the drones. "No infrastructure facilities have been damaged. There were no casualties or damage. The small fires that occurred were immediately extinguished by the Tambov Region branch of the Russian Emergencies Ministry," the government’s Telegram channel said.
