Russian forces gain control over road between Gulyaypole, Velikaya Novosyolka — official
According to Vladimir Rogov, actions by the Russian Armed Forces will compel the garrison of the Ukrainian armed forces in Velikaya Novosyolka to face difficulties with supplies and reinforcements
MELITOPOL, December 24. /TASS/. The Russian army has advanced near Storozhevoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), establishing fire control over the road between Velikaya Novosyolka and the town of Gulyaypole in the Zaporozhye Region, Vladimir Rogov, a member of the Russian Public Chamber, reported.
"Northwest of the settlement of Storozhevoye, our troops have approached the Gulyaypole-Velikaya Novosyolka road and brought it under fire control not just with artillery, but also with anti-tank guided missiles and firearms," he said.
According to the official, actions by the Russian Armed Forces will compel the garrison of the Ukrainian armed forces in Velikaya Novosyolka to face difficulties with supplies and reinforcements. "Neither the deployment of Ukrainian militants, nor the supply of ammunition or equipment is possible - everything is exposed to fire," he added.
On December 23, Rogov told TASS that Russian servicemen were mopping up the settlement of Storozhevoye in the Velikaya Novosyolka area.
