MOSCOW, December 24. /TASS/. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian is not expected to visit Russia during the upcoming New Year holidays, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
"During the New Year holidays <…> no," the spokesman said in response to a related question.
The previous day, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Savelyev met with Pezeshkian in Tehran, conveying "warm greetings" from Russian President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, along with an invitation to pay an official visit to Russia in early 2025.
On the same day, the Islamic Republic's Foreign Ministry announced that Pezeshkian's visit may take place before January 19, 2025.
