Ukraine’s military attempts six UAV attacks on Melitopol in Zaporozhye Region overnight

MELITOPOL, December 24. /TASS/. The Ukrainian military attempted to attack Melitopol, the administrative center of the Zaporozhye Region, by jet-powered unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) six times overnight, with five drones downed and no casualties reported, Governor Yevgeny Balitsky said on Tuesday.
"Last night, the enemy attempted to attack the city of Melitopol, the administrative center of the Zaporozhye Region, by jet-powered aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles. Overall, there were six attacks, five UAVs were shot down as they approached the city and the detonation occurred at a distance from the residential area," the governor wrote on his Telegram channel.
Falling debris from one UAV damaged the roof of the central marketplace building. There are no casualties, he specified.
