MOSCOW, December 23. /TASS/. Russian forces have liberated the settlement of Storozhevoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic, hitting enemy troops and equipment in 143 areas, the Russian Defense Ministry said in its bulletin.

Here are the details of the combat actions that took place over the past day, according to the bulletin.

Battlegroup North

Units of Russia’s Battlegroup North active in the Kharkov area delivered a strike on the forces of a Ukrainian mechanized brigade and a territorial defense brigade near the settlements of Borshchevaya and Lebedevka. The Ukrainian army has lost up to 50 troops, two motor vehicles and three D-30 122 mm howitzers.

Battlegroup South

Battlegroup South units improved their tactical position and inflicted losses on the forces of two Ukrainian mechanized brigades, an assault brigade and airmobile brigade near the settlements of Druzhkovka, Konstantinovka, Chasov Yar, Artyoma and Kurakhovo in the Donetsk People’s Republic. They also repelled a counterattack by an enemy assault group. The Ukrainian army lost about 400 troops, a US-made M113 armored personnel carrier, a US-made Paladin 155 mm self-propelled howitzer, two pickup trucks, a D-20 152 mm howitzer, a D-30 122 mm howitzer and two British-made L119 105 mm howitzers.

Battlegroup Center

Battlegroup Center made Ukraine suffer roughly 610 casualties and lose two tanks in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The enemy also lost an infantry fighting vehicle, a US-made M113 armored personnel carrier, three armored combat vehicles, eight motor vehicles, a Msta-B howitzer, a D-20 howitzer and two D-30 howitzers.

Battlegroup East

Battlegroup East liberated the settlement of Storozhevoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The Ukrainian army lost up to 155 troops, four motor vehicles, a French-made Caesar 155 mm self-propelled howitzer, an Akatsiya 152 mm howitzer, a D-20 152 mm howitzer and an electronic warfare system.

Battlegroup West

Units of Battlegroup West improved their tactical positions and defeated Ukrainian forces in the settlements of Kopanki, Dvurechnoye, Zagryzovo, and Zelyony Gai in the Kharkov Region, Novoyegorovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic, and Terny in the Donetsk People’s Republic, repelling seven counterattacks by enemy assault teams. The Ukrainian forces suffered over 400 casualties. The enemy also lost six motor vehicles, an M113 armored personnel carrier, three US-made M119 105 mm howitzers, a Gvozdika 122 mm self-propelled howitzer, a D-30 122 mm howitzer and two arms depots.

Battlegroup Dnepr

Units of Battlegroup Dnepr improved their frontline positions, carrying out strikes on personnel and hardware from Ukrainian infantry, mountain assault and territorial defense brigades near the settlements of Novoandreyevka, Lobkovoye, Nesteryanka in the Zaporozhye Region and Mikhaylovka in the Kherson Region. Additionally, they repelled a counterattack by an enemy assault group. The Ukrainian army has lost up to 45 troops, three motor vehicles, a D-20 152 mm howitzer and an electronic warfare system.

Air Force and air defenses

Russian tactical aircraft, attack drones, missile forces and artillery units hit infrastructure facilities at military airfields and the storage sites of attack unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as enemy troops and equipment in 143 areas. Russian air defense systems shot down 14 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles.

Tally of destroyed equipment

A total of 650 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 38,355 unmanned aerial vehicles, 590 anti-aircraft missile systems, 19,961 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 1,504 multiple rocket launchers, 19,953 field artillery pieces and mortars, and 29,452 special military vehicles have been destroyed since the start of Russia’s special military operation.
