Topic of Russian gas transit expected to be discussed by Putin, Slovak PM
"We’d better wait for the meeting to end to learn what they discussed," he Dmitry Peskov said
MOSCOW, December 22. /TASS/. Issues of Russian gas supplies are expected to top the agenda of today’s talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and visiting Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, Putin’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
"Naturally, this can certainly be expected. But, we’d better wait for the meeting to end to learn what they discussed," he told VGTRK journalist Pavel Zarubin.
Fico, who is on a working visit to Moscow, has been received by Putin at the Kremlin. Their talks are being held tete-a-tete. Putn’s aide Yury Ushakov is also taking part in the meeting, which is the first personal one between Putin and Fico since 2016.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said earlier that Fico was expected to hold talks with Putin following Vladimir Zelesky’s refusal to continue gas transit via Ukraine.
