According to Vladimir Saldo, Ukrainian authorities are stopping the provision of humanitarian aid to people

MOSCOW, December 20. /TASS/. Ukraine-appointed officials are pushing people to leave Kherson City but provide no help for such evacuations, said Kherson Region Governor Vladimir Saldo.

"The Ukrainian authorities are doing everything to make people leave Kherson. But when people leave, even buses are allegedly provided to take them to Nikolaev or even Odessa, they are left without any help at all," he told TASS on the sidelines of the State Council meeting on family-related issues.

According to Saldo, Ukrainian authorities are also stopping the provision of humanitarian aid to people.

"People find themselves completely alone, forced to seek shelter and means of subsistence on their own. Promises of help from officials end up being just empty words. Such evacuation shows the true attitude of the Kiev regime toward the people. While the invaders talk about the threat from Russia, the real danger comes from themselves," the governor wrote on Telegram.

Earlier, the head of the Kiev-appointed administration of the Ukrainian-controlled part of the Kherson Region, Alexander Prokudin, urged residents of some districts to evacuate. He said the situation continued to be difficult in Kherson City and its suburbs. Recently, the Kiev-appointed authorities of Kherson have often reported explosions in the city and damage to critical infrastructure. There are regular power cuts in the city, and disruptions to water supply happen as well.
