MELITOPOL, December 19. /TASS/. Russian forces have repelled several Ukrainian counterattacks in Novy Komar near Velikaya Novosyolka in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), successfully securing the settlement and advancing to the north, Vladimir Rogov, the chairman of the commission on sovereignty, patriotic projects, and support for veterans of Russia’s Civic Chamber told TASS.
"Our troops have completely secured Novy Komar after a number of counterattacks by the Ukrainian armed forces, advancing to the Mokriye Yaly River and the settlement of Novoocheretovatoye," he said.

The situation in this section of the frontline has improved following Russian aircraft’s destruction of the crossing over the Mokriye Yaly River, which was used by Ukraine to deploy reinforcements for attacks on Novy Komar and attempted strikes on Razdolnoye.
