MOSCOW, December 16. /TASS/. Russian forces improved the situation in the Krasnoarmeisk area after liberating the settlement of Shevchenko, Denis Pushilin, head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), said.

According to him, Russian "forces are advancing in several areas." "This includes the Krasnoarmeisk and Dimitrov areas because our troops have significantly improved the situation after the liberation of Shevchenko," he told the Rossiya-24 TV channel.

Pushilin added that Russian troops had also advanced in the Krasny Liman area. "As for Chasov Yar, some positive news has come with regard to the refractory plant. In fact, the enemy continues to hold some high rise buildings near the facility; this is where they are still capable of holding their ground," the regional head concluded.
