Ukrainian losses exceed 40,260 troops: situation in Russia’s Kursk Region

MOSCOW, December 13. /TASS/. The Ukrainian armed forces have lost more than 200 soldiers in the Kursk area over the past day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

The enemy's losses since the beginning of hostilities in the Kursk Region have exceeded 40,260 servicemen.

TASS has gathered the key news about the unfolding situation.

Operation to neutralize Ukrainian forces

- Russian forces defeated Ukrainian armed formations in the settlements of Viktorovka, Guyevo, Kruglenkoye, Lebedevka, Leonidovo, Martynovka, Nikolayevo-Daryino, Nikolsky, Sverdlikovo, and Staraya Sorochina.

- Russian operational/tactical and army aircraft, missile forces hit enemy manpower and equipment in the Kursk and Sumy regions.

- The operation to destroy Ukrainian forces continues.

Ukraine’s losses

- Over the day, Ukraine lost more than 200 troops, three tanks, including two British-made Challengers, two infantry fighting vehicles, including a German-made Marder, two armored personnel carriers, an armored combat vehicle, nine motor vehicles, a piece of artillery, six mortars, and an electronic warfare station.

- Since the beginning of hostilities in the Kursk Region, Kiev has lost over 40,260 troops, 239 tanks, 177 infantry fighting vehicles, 125 armored personnel carriers, 1,252 armored combat vehicles, 1,124 motor vehicles, 309 artillery pieces, 40 multiple rocket launchers, including 11 HIMARS and six MLRS of US manufacture, 13 anti-aircraft missile launchers, seven transport and loading vehicles, 73 electronic warfare stations, 13 counter-battery radars, four air defense radars, 27 pieces of engineering and other equipment, including 13 counter-obstacle vehicles, one UR-77 mine-clearing vehicle, six armored repair and recovery vehicles, as well as a command and staff vehicle.
