Interpol not cooperating with Russia after launch of special op — Investigative Committee
"We hope that wise individuals within Interpol will reconsider and change their stance toward Russia," Alexander Bastrykin added
MINSK, December 13. /TASS/. Communication with Interpol was disrupted following the start of the special military operation, as the organization has refused to cooperate with Moscow for political reasons, Russian Investigative Committee head Alexander Bastrykin stated during the 7th joint session of the collegiums of the Investigative Committees of Russia and Belarus.
"Before the special military operation, we had no problems in cooperation with Interpol. Now, these ties have been severed, as the international criminal police organization refuses to collaborate with us for political reasons," Bastrykin said. "We hope that wise individuals within Interpol will reconsider and change their stance toward Russia," he added.
Meanwhile, Bastrykin noted that Russia continues to work on Interpol requests despite its disregard for the country.
