MELITOPOL, December 13. /TASS/. Russian forces launched a missile strike on facilities at an airport in Kiev where F-16 fighter pilots were reportedly being trained, according to Vladimir Rogov, Chairman of the Civic Chamber Commission on Sovereignty, Patriotic Projects, and Support of Veterans.

"The strike targeted a closed airfield in Kiev, where pilots were being trained to operate F-16s equipped with Storm Shadow and SCALP missiles for strikes on [Russian territory]," Rogov told Komsomolskaya Pravda radio station. "The Russian army hit hangars and warehouses at the site, with secondary detonations continuing for up to two hours."

Rogov previously stated that the Russian strike on Ukrainian territory involved over 120 attacks using various weapons, including hypersonic Kinzhal missiles.
