Western sanctions outlived their usefulness, it's just grandstanding — senior diplomat
"There is nothing left in the foreign policy arsenal of this group except sanctions," Sergey Ryabkov noted
MOSCOW, December 12. /TASS/. Western sanctions have outlived their usefulness and are just grandstanding, Russia has adapted well to the restrictions against it, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov told reporters.
"There is nothing left in the foreign policy arsenal of this group except sanctions. They are obsessed with sanctions because they see that no efforts to really strengthen their own position in the world, materially and politically, are having the desired effect," he said.
"The sanctions have already outlived their usefulness, this is what is called 'grandstanding.' We have adapted and we have adapted well," Ryabkov added.
"We will continue to move forward resolutely on our planned course, despite any sanctions, any attempts to put pressure on us," Ryabkov concluded.
