BLAGODATNOYE /Donetsk People’s Republic/, December 12. /TASS/. A group of soldiers from the 110th separate territorial defense brigade of the Ukrainian armed forces surrendered to servicemen of Russia’s Battlegroup East on the outskirts of the settlement of Blagodatnoye near Velikaya Novosyolka, a TASS correspondent reports.

The prisoners of war (POWs) stated that their command had sent troops from the 110th and the 48th engineer brigades of Ukraine to launch a counterattack.

According to the captives, they were tasked with entering the outskirts of the settlement, gaining a foothold, and awaiting assault groups. "We surrendered right away; the others were wiped out," one of them told TASS.

A total of 28 people were killed when attempting to counterattack, the POWs said.
