These countries pursue anti-Russian policies, act aggressively, and supply our enemies with weapons, Sergey Ryabkov said
MOSCOW, December 11. /TASS/. Further cooperation on nuclear disarmament with countries deemed unfriendly to Russia has become both untenable and politically unacceptable, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said.
"Further collaboration in the realm of nuclear disarmament with states pursuing anti-Russian policies, act aggressively, supply our enemies with weapons, has become not only irrelevant, but also politically unacceptable," he said at a plenary session of the Russian State Duma (the lower house of the parliament).
The senior diplomat emphasized that Moscow must eliminate any dependency on "countries hostile to it in any field." "The issue of nuclear and radiation safety falls into this category," he concluded.
