Russian diplomat says Ukraine doesn’t see peace as priority
According to Maria Zakharova, the regime in Kiev does not think in such categories at all
MOSCOW, December 11. /TASS/. Vladimir Zelensky turned down US President-elect Donald Trump's call for a ceasefire because achieving peace in Ukraine is not a priority for Kiev, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.
"In a telltale sign, Zelensky's reaction to Donald Trump's call was left without notice across the ocean. Ukraine's alleged leader Zelensky, with his long-lost legitimacy, cynically rebuffed US president-elect and once again stated that he would not agree to any peace deal without a security guarantee, by which he means the country's membership in NATO," she said at a news conference. "Why is it all like this? Because peace is not a priority for the Kiev regime."
According to Zakharova, the regime in Kiev does not think in such categories at all.
"They have been taught so. By whom? The regime of [US President Joe] Biden, the White House administration has been training the Kiev regime for many years to do exactly the opposite," the diplomat said.
