Senior diplomat slams ‘theft’ US allocating loan to Kiev funded by Russian frozen assets

Earlier, the US Treasury Department announced the allocation of a $20 billion loan to Ukraine from the proceeds of Russian assets frozen in the West

MOSCOW, December 11. /TASS/. The United States' decision to allocate $20 billion to Ukraine from the proceeds of Russia's frozen assets amounts to what Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov described as G7-coordinated theft.

"The issue was deliberated within the G7 framework. To use terminology that might not be typical for a foreign affairs agency, I would say this is nothing short of theft committed by an organized group - the G7 - acting by prior agreement," the senior diplomat stated in response to a TASS inquiry.

Earlier, the US Treasury Department announced the allocation of a $20 billion loan to Ukraine from the proceeds of Russian assets frozen in the West. According to the department's statement, the money is allocated to Ukraine as part of the G7 initiative to allocate Kiev a $50 billion loan.
