MOSCOW, December 5. /TASS/. Russia’s former Prime Minister Sergey Stepashin believes that US President-elect Donald Trump will halt serious financial support to the Kiev regime because he would rather spend the money to fix problems on the US soil.

"He [Trump] is absolutely not interested in spending billions for the needs of others. He is a businessman, and he views his own country’s domestic problems as a priority," Stepashin told TASS.

Politico earlier reported that US lawmakers on November 25 received a request from Biden to allocate $24 billion for Ukraine. Another $8 billion would fund the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative, which allows the US Department of Defense to conclude contracts with manufacturers, rather than drawing down equipment and weapons from inventories.
