Lavrov clarifies Russia's position on Ukraine crisis to foreign diplomats — MFA
"Participants in the roundtable exchanged views on the conflict and other pressing international topics," the ministry stated
MOSCOW, November 29. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has clarified to foreign diplomats Moscow's position on key issues of the crisis in Ukraine, the diplomatic ministry said in a statement following an ambassadorial roundtable on the settlement of the conflict.
More than 70 foreign ambassadors and representatives of diplomatic missions took part in the event.
"The minister explained Moscow's position on key issues of the Ukrainian crisis. Participants in the roundtable exchanged views on the conflict and other pressing international topics," the ministry stated.
It added that Lavrov also addressed violations of journalists' rights, the fight against fake news, and Western attempts to dominate the global information space by imposing neo-colonial orders unacceptable to the majority of the world.
"The minister provided examples of deliberate efforts by our adversaries to use the information space for systemic repression against Russian media, as well as foreign journalists who strive to report honestly and objectively on the West's methods," the Russian Foreign Ministry emphasized.
