NATO growing more inclined to freeze Ukraine conflict — Russia’s SVR
"NATO has been unfolding training centers in Ukraine in an effort to train at least 1 million mobilized Ukrainians," the SVR highlighted
MOSCOW, November 29. /TASS/. The North Atlantic Alliance is increasingly inclined to freeze the Ukraine conflict due to the lack of prospects for delivering a strategic defeat to Russia, according to the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR).
"Given the obvious lack of prospects for inflicting a strategic defeat on Russia on the battlefield, NATO is more inclined to freeze the Ukraine conflict," the SVR said. It added that the West is looking to implement this scenario as an opportunity to restore the combat capability of Ukraine’s army and prepare Kiev for revenge.
"NATO has been establishing training centers in Ukraine in an effort to train at least 1 million mobilized Ukrainians," the SVR further stated.
In separate developments, the military bloc intends to rebuild the Ukrainian defense industry, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service continued. "Active work is currently underway, in cooperation with Western defense companies, including Germany’s Rheinmetall," the service said. "At NATO’s headquarters, they recognize that without providing the Ukrainian armed forces with enough weapons and munitions, it would be unrealistic to expect the Ukrainians to conduct high-intensity military operations for long," the SVR concluded.
