Russia’s deputy foreign minister praises Brazil’s approaches to future BRICS presidency
According to Sergey Ryabkov, BRICS is at the forefront of discussions, work, and efforts on all issues – from artificial intelligence to climate
YEKATERINBURG, November 28. /TASS/. Russia is impressed by Brazil's deep and responsible approach to its duties as the future BRICS presidency, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, BRICS Sherpa Sergey Ryabkov told reporters after a meeting of the association's Sherpas/Sous-Sherpas.
"We are very impressed by how deeply and seriously our colleagues [in Brazil] approach their duties for the coming year, how much they are trying to direct BRICS towards the most advanced and important areas of the economy and public life today," the deputy minister said.
According to the high-ranking diplomat, BRICS is at the forefront of discussions, work, and efforts on all issues – from artificial intelligence to climate.
Ryabkov expressed hope that during the Brazilian presidency the association will move forward, relying on the groundwork of the Russian presidency, on those understandings and conceptual approaches that are laid down in the unprecedentedly specific and weighty declaration of the summit in Kazan. Brazil will assume the presidency of BRICS from January 1, 2025.
