ASTANA, November 27. /TASS/. Moscow and Astana have some questions to each other, but can solve them and are determined to do so, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at talks with his Kazakh counterpart Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

"Kazakhstan is our strategic partner and a really reliable ally," he said.

According to Putin, during restricted attendance talks, attention was paid to "the issues that arise as part of a major bilateral process like this."

"Some issues require attention from the Russian side," the president said. "You are waiting for certain solutions from the Russian side, from Russian partners."

"Likewise, there are issues from our side," he told Tokayev.

"The most important thing is that there is a desire to seek answers to all these questions and find them," Putin said. "And they are being found. I do not know a single issue that we could not solve together."

"With this approach, we will achieve great success," the president added.

According to Putin, Kazakhstan, under Tokayev's leadership, "has achieved impressive results."

"This, of course, pleases us very much," he said.

According to the president, during talks with a limited circle of delegates the discussion was about such issues as "industry and finance." At the November 28 summit of the Collective Security Treaty Organization in Astana, talks will cover "such an important element these days as security."

Putin also said he is accompanied on the state visit to Kazakhstan by half of the Russian cabinet and thanked for the warm welcome.
