Russia expects US to continue warning about ballistic missile launches as well — diplomat
According to Sergey Ryabkov, such mutual notifications are a "stabilizing factor in the current extremely dangerous situation"
MOSCOW, November 27. /TASS/. Moscow maintains the practice of warning the US about ballistic missile test launches and expects Washington to reciprocate, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov told RT.
"We have not withdrawn from the commitments we declared earlier. We honor the previous agreements that were concluded in 1989 on early warning of ballistic missile launches. And under those agreements, shortly before we launched the Oreshnik missile, we notified the US," he said. "We maintain this practice and expect the US to do the same."
According to Ryabkov, such mutual notifications are a "stabilizing factor in the current extremely dangerous situation."
"We also very much hope that such actions will allow us to prevent a dangerous mistake or miscalculation from happening," he said.
