MOSCOW, November 26. /TASS/. The name of Russia's next ambassador to Washington will remain confidential until the candidacy is approved both domestically and by the United States, Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov stated at a briefing.

"I am familiar with this topic and know the details," he stated. "Currently, our candidate for the post of ambassador to the United States is undergoing interdepartmental coordination. Once approved by the relevant structures and the president, a request will be sent to the US," the aide clarified.

"All this will remain confidential until Washington grants its agreement," Ushakov added.
