MOSCOW, November 26. /TASS/. The Ukrainian armed forces lost over 250 troops in the Kursk area in the past day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

Kiev’s total losses have exceeded 35,760 since fighting began in the region.

Meanwhile, a court in the city of Kursk has ruled that British citizen James Scott Rhys Anderson, who took part in the Ukrainian army’s incursion in Russia’s Kursk Region, should be taken into custody.

Operation to wipe out Ukrainian units

- Units of Russia’s Battlegroup North defeated Ukrainian forces near the settlements of Alexandria, Viktorovka, Kruglenkoye, Lebedevka, Leonidovka, Nikolayevo-Daryino, Nikolsky, Novaya Soroshina, Novoivanovka, Plyokhovo and Sverdlikovo.

- Strikes by tactical and army aircraft and artillery forces hit enemy troops and equipment in the Kursk and Sumy regions.

- The operation to wipe out Ukrainian troops continues.

Ukrainian losses

- The Ukrainian armed forces lost over 250 troops, four tanks, four infantry fighting vehicles, three armored combat vehicles, eight motor vehicles and two mortars in the past day. Two Ukrainian service members surrendered.

- Since the start of fighting in the Kursk area, Kiev has lost a total of over 35,760 troops, 221 tanks, 156 infantry fighting vehicles, 121 armored personnel carriers, 1,197 armored combat vehicles, 1,035 motor vehicles, 304 artillery guns, 40 multiple launch rocket systems, including 11 US-made HIMARS launchers and six MLRS launchers, 13 missile launchers, seven transport-loading vehicles, 70 electronic warfare systems, 13 counterbattery radars, four air defense radars, 27 pieces of engineering equipment, including 13 counter-obstacle vehicles, a UR-77 mine-clearing vehicle, as well as six armored repair and recovery vehicles and a command and staff vehicle.

British mercenary intrigue

- Kursk’s Leninsky District Court ruled at a closed-door hearing that British national James Scott Rhys Anderson, who took part in the Ukrainian army’s incursion in the Kursk Region, should be taken into custody, the regional judicial system’s press service said.
