MOSCOW, November 26. /TASS/. The United States should pay for the reconstruction of Afghanistan after the devastation it caused in the country, just as in Syria and Libya, but instead, it continues to plunder "everything and everyone" with impunity, Russian Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoigu said following talks with Afghanistan’s top leadership.

"We discussed further cooperation across all areas. This includes economic issues, as well as detailed discussions on transportation. We addressed everything related to trade and discussed a major energy deal, all of which have promising prospects. The topic of the United States was also raised, as it continues to plunder everything and everyone with impunity. The issue concerned the return of assets and funds that belong solely to the Afghan people. As with Libya and Syria, the US refuses to return them," Shoigu said in an interview with RT.

"In my opinion, the United States should invest in the reconstruction of Afghanistan after everything it has done and abandoned there. This applies to everything: the needs of the people, rebuilding facilities, and restoring infrastructure," he added.

On November 25, an extensive Russian delegation, which also included Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk, held four meetings with Afghanistan’s Vice Prime Minister Mohammad Abdul Kabir, Deputy Prime Minister Abdul Ghani Baradar, Defense Minister Mohammad Yaqoob, and Interior Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani.
