Kremlin confident Putin’s warning about strikes inside Russia was well heard in West
According to Dmitry Peskov, the position of the Russian Federation was outlined quite clearly by President Vladimir Putin
MOSCOW, November 26. /TASS/. The West must have heard Russian President Vladimir Putin’s statements regarding the use of long-range weapons for strikes inside Russia, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said with confidence, taking a TASS reporter’s question.
"The position of the Russian Federation was outlined quite clearly by President [Vladimir] Putin. We have not doubt that all ideas voiced by the president have been well heard by countries in the collective West," Peskov said when asked whether Washington had chosen to seek escalation as it made statements on the use of long-range missiles following the launch of Russia’s latest Oreshnik intermediate-range missile.
National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said that the US administration has provided the Ukrainian armed forces with instructions on selecting targets for strikes using American ATACMS tactical ballistic missiles. The West actually confirmed its authorization to use ATACMS for strikes inside Russia.
