MOSCOW, November 25. /TASS/. Russia’s cancer vaccine will be a big breakthrough in fighting the disease, President Vladimir Putin said.
The head of state held a meeting with Veronika Skvortskova, head of the Federal Medical-Biological Agency (FMBA), who briefed him on the vaccine's development. According to her, the FMBA’s cancer vaccine will be ready for use in about a year.
"It will still be a breakthrough," Putin noted.
The FMBA head announced that the agency was working on a vaccine for cancer and malignant neoplasms in April. She specified that the vaccine would be for colorectal cancer, malignant melanomas and glioblastomas.
